Wake Forest defeats Presbyterian 69-48
Codi Miller-McIntyre's 20 points and Coron Williams' early perimeter shooting propelled Wake Forest to a 69-48 victory against Presbyterian on Friday night.
Wake Forest (3-0), which is more than halfway through a season-opening five-game home stand, is unbeaten through three games for the second time in four seasons under coach Jeff Bzdelik.
Williams finished with 18 points - 15 in the first half -- and Devin Thomas had 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Reggie Dillard scored 15 of his 20 points in the first half for Presbyterian (0-3).
Presbyterian had a slightly better first-half shooting percentage than Wake Forest, but was hurt by the Demon Deacons' 3-point shooting.
The Demon Deacons shot 35.7 percent (20-of-56) for the game. That was offset by a 46-29 rebounding advantage.
Presbyterian, with a starting lineup that included three freshmen, went 0-3 on a season-opening three-game road stretch.
