DAVIDSON (AP) — DeShawn Jones ran 11 times for 117 yards and a touchdown and Campbell scored 33 unanswered points on Saturday to defeat Davidson 47-14.
Campbell (3-9, 1-7 Pioneer) led 19-8 at halftime and Jonathon Rogers returned the opening kick of the second half 82 yards for a touchdown.
Brian Hudson threw to Kurt Odom for an 18-yard touchdown midway through the third quarter and Jones ran for a 6-yard score with 11:27 left in the game to give the Fighting Camels a 40-8 advantage.
Hudson was 15 for 22 for 160 yards and two touchdowns. He added 71 yards rushing and two more scores. Campbell's offense had five consecutive touchdown-scoring drives.
Davidson (0-11, 0-7) took an early 8-7 lead on Robert Klein's 4-yard touchdown run and a 2-point conversion on a pass from J.P. Douglas to Jeff McDaniel. The Wildcats held Campbell on the next four possessions but struggled from there.


Gardner-Webb 20, Presbyterian 13
CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — Lucas Beatty threw for 209 yards and a touchdown and the Gardner-Webb defense came up with two late stops to hold off Presbyterian for a 20-13 win Saturday.
After Tamyn Garrick found Arthur Williams for a 19-yard touchdown to pull Presbyterian (3-8, 1-4) within seven, 20-13, the Gardner-Webb defense forced the Blue Hose offense to turn the ball over on downs on each of the next two Presbyterian possessions to secure a win for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
Lucas Beatty hit Kenny Cook for a 59-yard touchdown late in the first quarter and Jordan Day hit a pair of short field goals in the second as GW (7-5, 2-3) took a 13-0 lead into the break.
Presbyterian got the ball on its own 28-yard line with 1:38 remaining but its final drive stalled on the Gardner-Webb 20 when Garrick's pass to Jeremiah McKie fell incomplete on fourth-and-2.


North Carolina A&T 28, North Carolina Central 0

GREENSBORO (AP) — The North Carolina A&T defense scored twice, on an interception and fumble recovery, in a 28-0 win over North Carolina Central on Saturday.
North Carolina A&T (7-4, 4-4) held North Carolina Central (5-7, 3-5) to 148 yards of total offense and just 35 yards passing.
Lewis Kindle scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in the first quarter for the Aggies and Ricky Lewis added a 1-yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
On the Eagles' possession following Lewis' score, Brian Houston intercepted Jordan Reid's pass and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown. The Aggies' defense continued to dominate in the fourth quarter as D'Anthony Ross sacked Malcolm Bell, forcing a fumble that was recovered by D'Vonte Grant and returned 20 yards for a touchdown.

Charlotte 61, Morehead St. 17

MOREHEAD, Ky. (AP) — Kalif Phillips rushed for three touchdowns, and four backs scored touchdowns to lead Charlotte over Morehead State 61-17 Saturday.
Phillips had TD runs of 50, 4, and 12 on just 11 carries. Phillips now has 13 touchdowns and 716 yards rushing this season.
Matt Johnson and Damarrell Alexander each ran for a touchdown, and both had over 100 yards rushing. Alan Barnwell ran for a 70-yard TD, the longest of the day. Johnson, the 49ers quarterback, also threw for a score. He was 14 of 24 for 141 yards passing.
Charlotte had 439 yards rushing on its way to 580 yards of total offense.
Charlotte (5-6) concludes its first football season.


Samford 33, Elon 32

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Andy Summerlin threw four TD passes, including the game-winner with seconds remaining and propelled Samford to a 33-32 victory over Elon on Saturday, assuring Samford a Southern Conference co-championship.

The Bulldogs (8-4, 6-2) had all they could handle with an upset-minded Elon team that broke out to a first half lead (21-10) and still lead in the fourth quarter when Summerlin took control and drove the Bulldogs 75 yards in 12 plays for the go-ahead TD. Summerlin hit Chris Cephus on a fourth-and-goal 12-yard pass with 0:07 remaining. The 2-point conversion failed, but Elon had no time to mount a comeback.

Mike Quinn passed for 227 yards with two interceptions, while Kierre Brown opened the scoring for Elon (2-10, 1-7) with a 56-yard TD punt return.
