After back-to-back losses earlier in the week, Grace Christian opened its Carolina Christian Conference campaign with a 10-0 rout over visiting Cresset Christian Friday afternoon.

Eighth-grade midfielder Madison Bolen played a role in nine of the Lady Crusader goals as she had five goals and four assists.

Bolen’s five goals sets a new school single-game scoring record. Bolen has 14 goals in seven matches this season.

Freshman Torie Boyte had a hat trick and three assists for the Lady Crusaders. Junior Payton Winchell had two goals. Bridgette Angeles had two assists and Katie Cook had one assist.

The Lady Crusaders played without two starters and mercy-ruled the Lady Eagles via the 10-goal rule.

The Lady Crusaders (3-3-1, 1-0-0) hosts Lee Christian in a CCC and city-rivalry game Monday at 5 p.m.
