Grace Christian, even while having three of their best players in street clothes, drained 16 three-pointers and rolled to an 87-40 win over visiting Falcon Christian Thursday night.

Injuries, on and off the court, have hurt the Crusaders through the last two weeks. Point guard Mark Riches, who has multiple 30-plus-point games already this season, was injured last week. Center Fernando DePaz went out injured early during Grace's conference loss to Northwood Temple earlier this week. Wingman and three-pointer marksman B.J. Harrison got hurt in an accident in the weight room.
With seven Crusaders ready for action, the visiting Warriors had only an eight-man varsity squad themselves.
The Crusaders broke out on front with a barrage of three-pointers. Robert Fulton and Isaiah Jones hit a triple each as part of Grace jumping out to an 8-2 lead in the first 1:11 of the game. All five Crusader starters had a three-pointer as Grace led 23-10 at the 3:09 mark of the first quarter. The Crusaders hit nine triples in a 33-14 first quarter.
Zach Boggs scored 19 points in the opening half, with three threes included, and the Crusaders led 55-24 at halftime. Boggs went on to hit six three-pointers and score 32 points with eight steals and six assists.
After all the three-point baskets early, the Crusaders relied on them and thensome the rest of the night, finishing 16-for-52 from beyond the arc. Isaac Kruger hit four threes and finished with 22 points. Fulton made four threes and totaled 16 points to go with seven assists. Nolan Shoemake had six points, 11 rebounds and seven assists.
Prince McBryer and Deshawn Currie scored 15 points each to lead the Warriors.
Grace Christian (8-5, 2-1) heads back into Carolina Christian Conference play Friday night at Wayne Christian at 7:30 p.m.
