Grace Christian 9, Northwood Temple 0

Torie Boyte and Madison Bolen scored hat tricks as Grace Christian (7-5-2, 4-1-0) cruised to a Carolina Christian Conference win at Northwood Temple Friday evening.

After a non-league loss at home Thursday, the Lady Crusaders got scoring from six players in the CCC victory. Boyte added two assists and Bolen had one assist. Bridgette Angeles had two goals and an assist. Charity Taylor had a goal and an assist. Sierra Prater made two assists and Taylor Raines had one assist. Sarah Beard made two saves.

Grace Christian will travel to Wayne Country Day for a CCC match Tuesday at 5 p.m.

BaseballGray’s Creek 2, Western Harnett 0

The host Bears (12-3, 6-1) scored twice in the first and that was enough for a Cape Fear Valley win over the Eagles (4-9, 3-5) Friday night.

T.J. McDonald, pitching the first five innings, then Logan Haines, teamed up to pitch a one-hitter for the Bears.

Western Harnett will play a CFVC game at Overhills Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Jets hammered Cummings in both games of a Mid-State doubleheader in Siler City Friday night. Jordan-Matthews (12-4, 6-2) will play at Providence Grove Tuesday at 7 p.m.

The Lady Jets (9-5, 6-2) rolled to a sweep in a Mid-State doubleheader in Siler City on Friday. Jordan-Matthews will host Providence Grove Tuesday at 6 p.m.

Gray’s Creek 6, Western Harnett 4

Gray’s Creek (11-5, 5-2) topped the visiting Lady Eagles (6-4, 4-2) in a CFVC game Friday night. Western Harnett will play at Overhills Tuesday at 7 p.m.

Chatham Central 7, South Stanly 0

Chatham Central (11-0, 10-0) remained perfect as Kelsey Hayes pitched the shutout over visiting South Stanly Friday night.

Erin Sugg hit a three-run home run putting the Lady Bears ahead 4-0 in the fifth inning.

The Lady Bears will play at North Rowan Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.

Cedar Ridge (6-5) finished a season sweep over the Chargers in a Conference 5 match Friday evening. Northwood (2-8, 1-5) will host Roxboro Community Monday at 6 p.m.
