Lady Crusaders start national tournament with big rally
Grace Christian (31-4) rallied from a 39-33 deficit going to the fourth quarter to beat Three Point Line Sports Christian School 55-47 on the first day of the NACA (National Association of Christian Athletes) National Championship on Wednesday.
Three Point Line Sports, of Midlothian, Va., jumped out to a 14-4 lead by the end of a quarter.
The Lady Crusaders, coming off a runner-up finish in the NCISAA 1A State Tournament, which concluded in Charlotte on Saturday, were led by junior Anna Murr scoring 29 points, including six 3-point baskets.
Alexis Ross had 13 points, seven assists and six rebounds. Brooke Strickland had 11 points and nine rebounds.
Grace continued in the NACA tournament with two games yesterday; against Potters House of Florida and Riverdale Baptist of Maryland. The tournament ends today. The Lady Crusaders are three-time NACA national champions.
