Vikings, Cavs go 1-2 at Anderson Creek

Union Pines edged Southern Lee by four strokes to win the Anderson Creek High School Elite Golf Tournament on Friday at Anderson Creek Golf Course.

The Vikings were led by Cody Roberts, who won medalist honors with a three-over-par 75. The Vikings came out on top of the 10-school field and beat the Cavaliers 332-336.

Zane Lewis led Southern Lee carding an 81. Lee County's Walter Brinker shot an 82 as the Jackets finished seventh as a team.
