Crusaders slug for CCC win

Grace Christian 12, Trinity Academy 1

Grace Christian rolled to an easy Carolina Christian Conference win at Trinity Monday afternoon. The Crusaders (9-7, 4-2) have a pair of CCC games, on the road Thursday and Friday, left to their regular season. Grace Christian will play at Greenfield School Thursday at 5 p.m., then at Neuse Christian Friday at 5 p.m.

Cleveland 2, Triton 0

The Rams (10-10, 5-3) avenged a 2-0 Triton win in March beating Triton (14-6, 5-4) in an Eastern Carolina game Monday night. The Hawks played at Eastern Wayne last night and will go to South Johnston Friday for a 6 p.m. start.


Pinecrest 10, Purnell Swett 6

The Lady Patriots (6-7, 4-4) made it three straight wins with a conference win at home Monday night. Pinecrest hosted Richmond last night and will play at Hoke County Thursday at 7 p.m.

Girls soccer

Jordan-Matthews 1, Eastern Randolph 0

The Lady Jets (8-4-2, 6-2-1) earned a season split and made it five straight matches without a loss at Eastern Randolph Monday night.

Jordan-Matthews plays at Graham tonight at 6 p.m.

Carrboro 3, Northwood 0

The Lady Jaguars (13-2-1, 10-1-0) defeated visiting Northwood (5-7-1, 4-4-0) in a Carolina 12 match Monday night. Northwood hosts Durham School of the Arts tonight at 6:45 p.m.

Pinecrest 5, Richmond 0

The Lady Patriots (10-2-3, 9-0-0) remained perfect in Southeastern Conference play at home Monday night. Pinecrest has clinched the SEC season championship and can finish an undefeated campaign at Hoke County tonight at 7 p.m.

East Montgomery 10, North Moore 1

East Montgomery (13-1 overall) routed visiting North Moore in a Yadkin Valley match Monday night. The Lady Mustangs (2-9-1) play at Gray Stone Day tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Cleveland 7, Triton 1

Cleveland completed a season sweep of the Lady Hawks in an ECC match Monday night. Triton (7-8, 5-5) played at Eastern Wayne last night and will play at South Johnston Friday at 6 p.m.
