Jordan-Matthews 6, Southwestern Randolph 0

Darwin Ramirez led the Jets with a hat trick as they won in Siler City Wednesday night. Kevin Rodriguez scored two goals and Jonathan Hernandez scored a goal.

Jordan-Matthews (2-1) played at Northwood last night and will host Eastern Randolph at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

 
Richmond 2, Union Pines 2

The Vikings got their second straight draw on the road at Richmond Wednesday night. Union Pines (2-0-2) opens Cape Fear Valley play at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Westover.

 
Triton 1, Midway 1

The Hawks (1-2-1) played visiting Midway (1-1-1) to a tie Wednesday. Triton played Cape Fear last night and will go to Pine Forest for a 7 p.m. start Tuesday.

 
Pinecrest 3, Leesville Road 0

The Patriots (3-0) made it three-for-three on the road with a victory in Raleigh Wednesday night. Pinecrest travels again Monday to Holly Springs for a 6 p.m. start.

West Montgomery d. Jordan-Matthews 25-20, 25-19, 25-13

Jordan-Matthews (1-3) fell to visiting West Montgomery Wednesday evening. The Lady Jets played at Eastern Randolph last night and will host Eastern Randolph at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

 
Triton d. Harnett Central 25-18, 25-13, 25-11

Triton (1-1) swept county rival Harnett Central (0-6) in Erwin Wednesday. Cassidy Hayes had 16 kills and Barbara Godwin added 10 kills for the Lady Hawks.

Triton will play at Overhills at 6 p.m. Tuesday. Harnett Central played Southeast Raleigh last night and will host Knightdale at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The Lady Mustangs (3-0, 3-0) topped South Davidson (1-1, 1-1) in a Yadkin Valley match in Robbins Wednesday. North Moore will host West Montgomery at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Western Harnett (0-2, 0-1) fell at Corinth Holders (3-0, 1-0) in the first Two Rivers tennis match for both schools Wednesday. The Lady Eagles will host Smithfield-Selma for a conference match at 4 p.m. Wednesday.

Chatham Charter (1-2) got its first-ever varsity tennis victory at Burlington Christian Wednesday afternoon. The Lady Knights played at Grimsley yesterday and will have their first home match versus Andrews at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Boys - Southern Lee 20, Douglas Byrd 35

Girls - Douglas Byrd 20, Southern Lee no score

Cavalier runners Biagio Esposito (17:53) and Jessica Long (24:07) won their respective meets as the Cavaliers took on Douglas Byrd at the Jordan Soccer Complex in Fayetteville Wednesday.

Other scoring runners for the Cavalier boys' team were: Jay Randolph (3rd/19:49), Noe Mexicano (4th/20:49), Austin Kerns (5th/21:40) and Jarvis Carden (7th/22:12). Kaitlyn Gasper finished sixth in 31:06 in the girls race.

Southern Lee's next meet is a home meet against Gray's Creek on Wednesday.

Both Viking teams got conference wins to start their seasons on Wednesday. The Vikings will run in the Jungle Run Night Race at Hope Mills on Saturday starting at 6 p.m.
