Grace Christian 10, Wayne Christian 4
Grace Christian won its second straight Carolina Christian Conference baseball tournament championship Friday, winning twice Friday and three games in a little more than 24 hours, to defend its title.
Like last May, the Crusaders (16-9) were not the top seed for the CCC Tournament. No. 2-seeded Grace Christian avenged its only league loss from the season with a 10-4 victory over No. 1 Wayne Christian in the final Friday at Community Christian.
The Crusaders allowed seven runs in the three tournament games, beating Neuse Christian 15-0 on Thursday and Cape Fear Christian 14-3 earlier Friday in Wilson.
