Bears rout South Davidson 60-29
Northwood 57, Raleigh Charter 30
The Chargers (7-5, 4-1) led 9-2 after one quarter and rolled to a 45-20 lead through three quarters for a Carolina 12 Conference win at Raleigh Charter Tuesday night.
Ti Pinnix scored 14 points for the Chargers. Jared Worley added nine points and Adam Leviner and Kadarus Rone scored six each.
Northwood will host South Granville Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Triton 65, Overhills 61
Triton took the rubber game of its three meetings with the Jaguars this season Tuesday in Spring Lake.
Dedrick Stacker led the Hawks with 18 points and seven steals. Alex Burnett had 16 points and six rebounds.
Theron Cole led the Jaguars with 16 points and Josh Mason added nine points.
Triton (13-2, 4-0) will travel to C.B. Aycock on Friday, Jan. 18. Overhills (7-5, 2-1) will host Gray's Creek Friday at 7:30 p.m.
North Moore 58, East Montgomery 57
North Moore (6-7, 3-3) rallied for a comeback win after trailing 45-37 through three quarters against visiting East Montgomery (5-8, 3-4) in a Yadkin Valley game Tuesday night.
North Moore will host Gray Stone Day in another conference game Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Chatham Central 60, South Davidson 29
The Bears outscored South Davidson 15-4 in the second quarter moving out to a 26-14 halftime lead, then kept pulling away for a Yadkin Valley win over South Davidson in Bear Creek Tuesday night.
Freshman John Thomas Moore scored a career-high 16 points, including 4-for-7 three-point shooting, and got five rebounds for Chatham Central.
Zack Burke had 14 points and 11 rebounds. Scotty Polston added seven points, four steals and three assists.
The Bears (3-8, 2-4) will host Albemarle Friday at 7:30 p.m.
Cardinal Gibbons 57, Union Pines 24
Cardinal Gibbons (7-4) held the Vikings to one hoop in the first half, taking a 30-2 halftime lead, Tuesday night in Raleigh.
Darin Carlyle and Malik Crawford led the Vikings with six points each.
Union Pines (4-12, 0-4) return to conference play Friday night at Western Harnett with an 8 p.m. tip.
Community Christian 39, Lee Christian 32
Community Christian (6-5, 4-2) had a 24-22 lead through three quarters and hung on for a Carolina Christian Conference win over the visiting Lady Falcons Tuesday night in Wilson.
Lee Christian (6-6, 2-2) hits the road again Friday to face Cresset Christian at 5:30 p.m.
Athens Drive 80, Lee County 49
Sophomore guard Grace Hunter scored 33 points leading Athens Drive (8-6, 4-3) to a Tri-Nine win at Lee County Tuesday night.
De'ja Bland led the Lady Yellow Jackets with 11 points. Nikki Hoover scored nine points. Olivia Sturdivant and Noelle Beattie added eight points each.
Lee County (4-10, 0-7) will go to Holly Springs Friday night for a 7 p.m. start.
Overhills 57, Triton 41
Overhills finished a three-game sweep over county rival Triton Tuesday night in Erwin.
The Lady Jaguars (7-5, 3-0) have won five of their last six games. The Jags have a Cape Fear Valley game hosting Gray's Creek Friday at 6 p.m. Triton (6-9, 2-2) will play at C.B. Aycock on Friday, Jan. 18.
South Davidson 55, Chatham Central 32
The Lady Wildcats (10-2, 7-0) stayed atop the Yadkin Valley with a win at Chatham Central Tuesday night.
Senior Holly Wall led South Davidson with 10 points.
The Lady Bears (4-8, 3-3) will host Albemarle Friday at 6 p.m.
Northwood 54, Raleigh Charter 15
The Lady Chargers allowed no more than five points in a period and led 26-9 at halftime to get an easy Carolina 12 win Tuesday night in Raleigh.
Shontai Totten led Northwood with 15 points. Gabby Mehringer added nine points and Tyiesha Baldwin had eight points.
Northwood (9-3, 5-0) will host South Granville Friday at 6 p.m.
North Moore 65, East Montgomery 43
Jalisa Davis led North Moore with 29 points and the Lady Mustangs (8-5, 3-3) beat visiting East Montgomery for a Yadkin Valley win Tuesday night.
Tyisha Horn added 11 points for the Lady Mustangs and Mone Little had eight points.
North Moore will host Gray Stone Day for a Yadkin Valley game Friday at 6 p.m.
