Lady Jackets get walk-off winner

Lee County's softball squad won its third game in three nights, including back-to-back Tri-Nine wins, with Chandler Patterson's walk-off home run in the bottom of the seventh inning giving the Lady Yellow Jackets a 6-5 win over visiting Panther Creek Friday night.

Lee County (3-2, 2-2) beat Southern Lee 9-1 Wednesday night, then edged Cary 9-8 on the road Thursday night.

Against the Lady Imps, Chandler Patterson went 3-for-5. Allie Eyers and Morgan Pedley went 2-for-4 and Pedley got the pitching victory.

Savannah Patterson got the win against Panther Creek. Nikki Hoover and Mary Beard both went 2-for-3 at the plate.

The Lady Jackets face three games again this week starting Monday night with a non-conference game at Union Pines at 6:30 p.m.
