Grace Christian improved to a 5-0 start with a shutout at home Tuesday afternoon.
David Valente, Christian Galindo, Keshawn Wright, Nate Holt and Victor Mondragon had a goal apiece for the Crusaders. Mondrago, Jose Leonidez and Sergio Charco-Bartolommeo had one assist each.
The Crusaders (5-0) will play in the Ravenscroft Invitational beginning Sept. 4. Grace Christian will face North Raleigh Christian Academy in the first round.
Faith Christian 5, Chatham Charter 1
Faith Christian (1-0) won the second half 3-0 to pull away from the visiting Knights (0-1-1) in Ramseur Tuesday afternoon. Chatham Charter will visit Uwharrie Charter for a match at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Harnett Central 6, Triton 0
The Trojans (4-0) completed a season sweep over Triton (0-3) Tuesday night in Angier. Harnett Central plays at Western Harnett at 6:30 p.m. tonight. Triton plays at Pine Forest at 7 p.m. tonight.
Southern Lee d. Douglas Byrd 25-9, 25-7, 25-10
The Lady Cavaliers (3-1, 1-0) opened up Cape Fear Valley Conference play with an easy victory at home Tuesday evening versus Douglas Byrd (0-3, 0-1).
Sydney Elseth and Larkin Staley had six aces each as Southern Lee totaled 31 aces for the match. Summer Williams had eight digs and seven assists. Elseth had a team-high five kills.
Southern Lee plays at Gray's Creek at 5:30 p.m. this evening.
Union Pines d. Westover 25-8, 25-8, 25-11
The Lady Vikings (3-1, 1-0) swept Westover in a Cape Fear Valley match in Cameron Tuesday night.
Megan Harris led the Union Pines with 22 assists and eight aces. Alex Prots had 10 aces and six kills. Chandler Adams, Angel Johnson and Melissa Greene had five kills each and Charlotte Holder had four kills.
Union Pines plays at Terry Sanford at 5:30 p.m. this evening.
Lee County 3, Gray's Creek 1
The Lady Yellow Jackets (4-0, 1-0), the defending season and tournament champs in the Cape Fear Valley, started conference play with a win at Gray's Creek Tuesday.
Lee County played at Pinecrest last night and hosts Douglas Byrd at 5:30 p.m. today.
Middle Creek d. Triton 23-25, 25-9, 19-25, 25-16, 15-8
Middle Creek (1-0) outlasted visiting Triton (1-2) Tuesday night. The Lady Hawks will host Middle Creek at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Clayton d. Harnett Central 25-19, 25-19, 25-14
The Lady Comets swept Harnett Central (1-1, 0-1) in the Greater Neuse River Conference opener for the Lady Trojans on Tuesday evening in Angier. The Lady Trojans play at Southeast Raleigh at 5 p.m. this evening.
Cape Fear d. Overhills 27-25, 26-24, 25-21
Cape Fear (4-0, 1-0) defeated the Lady Jaguars (0-2, 0-1) in the Mid-South Athletic Conference opener for both squads at Overhills Tuesday. The Lady Jaguars play at Western Harnett at 5:30 p.m. today.
Burlington Christian 3, Grace Christian 0
Burlington Christian (2-2) won at Grace Christian (0-2) Tuesday evening. The Lady Crusaders will play next at Cary Academy at 5:15 p.m. Sept. 5.

The Lady Eagles (2-3) won in straight sets at Jordan-Matthews Tuesday evening. The Lady Jets (0-5) played at Northwood last night and will host West Montgomery at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Faith Christian (4-0) topped the Lady Knights (0-3) in Ramseur Tuesday. Chatham Charter hosts Burlington School at 6 p.m. this evening.
