Lee County's volleyball team traveled to an N.C. State volleyball match on Oct. 25 and presented the money raised from the Dig Hope game and the powder puff football game during Lee County's homecoming week in October. The total raised for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund was $2,100.

The Lady Jackets presented the check to Kay Yow Fund representative Robin Pate, far left, on the court between the second and third sets of the Wolfpack match. Giving the check was, from left, Khairi Bolden, Tatiana Santina, Skylar Whitton, Kayla Angell, Clay Fowler, Bailey Spivey, Megan Rose, Katy Langston, Katie Kelly and Maddie Rose. It was a great opportunity for the girls to give back and be recognized for their efforts in raising money for the Kay Yow Fund and cancer awareness.
