Lee County strung together three rallies in its first three frames and rolled to a 9-1 victory at city rival Southern Lee Wednesday evening.

Every spot in the Lady Yellow Jacket order added at least a run or an RBI as Chandler Patterson led the way going 3-for-5 with three singles, three runs and two RBI.

Morgan Pedley held the Lady Cavaliers scoreless for the first six innings and joined in the Jackets' 11-hit attack with a solo homer as part of Lee County stretching its lead to 8-0 in the third inning.

While Lee County got on the board quickly, Southern Lee dodged a bigger Jacket inning opening the evening. After the first two Jackets reached base off Southern Lee starting pitcher Allison Beeson, Nikki Hoover shot a hard grounder into left field for a two-RBI single. Mary Beard and Allie Eyers followed with singles loading the bases with no outs.

Noelle Beattie hit a fly to deep right-center field. Lady Cavalier center fielder Erin Pickens covered the ground to make the catch, then fired to the plate to get a double play. Beeson got Brook Such to ground out, leaving Lee County ahead 2-0.

The Lady Jackets kept going in the second and with the bases loaded Beard knocked in two RBI with a hit to right-center field.

Pedley's homer, a drive over the right-center field fence, led off the Jacket third. The Jackets kept putting lots of runners on. Patterson drove in two with a single and Eyers added an RBI single making it 8-0.

Madison Morrison pitched the last three frames for the Lady Cavaliers, giving up a run and a hit. At the plate, Morrison broke up Pedley's try for a shutout in the seventh with a homer, a liner which glanced off the top of the center field fence and over.

Pedley finished with a four-hitter. She walked on, hit one batter and struck out five. She held the Lady Cavs to one hit through the first five innings.

Beard went 2-for-4 with two RBI as the Jacket clean-up hitter. Pedley and Hoover had two RBI. Caroline Wilson scored two runs.
