In just his seventh game as an East Carolina University Pirate, junior Akeem Richmond (SLHS) played an integral part in setting a new ECU school record for three pointers made in a game as the Pirates routed St. Andrews, 111-59.
To say that twins Allegra and Max Hogan have left their mark on Lee County High School athletics would be an understatement. After completing their final spring seasons as seniors this year, the duo has combined to earn 28 athletic letters during their four years of high school — 15 by Allegra and 13 by Max.
Lee County senior Brian Stryffeler will be an offensive lineman for Wingate University in a few months, but he's got one more chance to take the gridiron in his high school career.
