Jackets avenge loss, win 3-2 at Gray’s Creek
Lee County 3, Gray’s Creek 2
Lee County avenged a 4-0 Bear win earlier this month with a 3-2 win at Gray’s Creek (7-3, 4-3) Wednesday night.
Tyler North, Addison Jackling and Jacob Baker scored a goal each for the Yellow Jackets. Keeper Hunter Watson had five saves.
The Yellow Jackets (5-5-1, 3-3-1) will host Douglas Byrd at 6 p.m. Monday.
Also in Hope Mills Wednesday evening, the JV Yellow Jackets defeated Gray’s Creek 4-0.
Southern Lee 11, Douglas Byrd 2
The Cavaliers (10-0-2, 5-0-1) netted their most goals of the season against the visiting Eagles Wednesday night. Southern Lee plays at Jordan-Matthews at 7 p.m. tonight.
Union Pines 3, Westover 2 - OT
Sean Richard scored his second goal of the match in overtime, in the 94th minute, to give the Vikings (5-5-3, 2-4-1) a conference win at home Wednesday night. The Vikings split with the Wolverines (5-6, 2-5) for the regular season.
Jose Torres and Richard scored in the second half for the Vikings. The Wolverines converted a penalty kick in the 76th minute to make it 2-2.
Union Pines will play a CFVC match at Terry Sanford at 7 p.m. Monday.
Overhills 4, South View 2
Kirill Shershnev led the Jaguars with two goals and two assists as the Jaguars got a Mid-South Athletic victory at South View Wednesday night.
Jonathan Gauer and Cameron Woosley scored a goal each. Nico Maggi had 10 saves for the Jaguars (5-5-2, 4-2-1).
Overhills will host Cape Fear at 6 p.m. Monday.
Smithfield-Selma 5, Western Harnett 0
Smithfield-Selma (4-4-2, 2-0-0) shut out the Eagles (1-8-2, 0-2-0) in a Two Rivers match in Lillington on Wednesday. Western Harnett will play at South Johnston at 6 p.m. Monday.
East Wake 1, Harnett Central 0
East Wake (3-3 GNRC) held off the Trojans (4-7-1, 1-4-0) in a Greater Neuse River match Wednesday night. Harnett Central will host Clayton at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
North Moore 3, Gray Stone Day 1
The Mustangs (8-2-1, 5-1-0) won a Yadkin Valley match at Gray Stone Day (8-2-2, 4-2-1) Wednesday afternoon. North Moore played Providence Grove yesterday and will play at East Montgomery at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
Jordan-Matthews 2, Bartlett Yancey 0
The Jets (8-4-1, 2-1-1) won a Mid-State Conference match at Bartlett Yancey (4-9, 1-3) Wednesday night. Jordan-Matthews hosts Southern Lee tonight at 7 p.m.
Northwood 5, Northern Vance 2
After falling behind 1-0 early in the second half, the Chargers scored five straight goals to get their fourth straight win in Big Eight Conference play Wednesday night in Pittsboro.
Fernando Guzman, Brandon Hubbard, Will Riggsbee and Jerry Silvestri scored a goal each. Northern Vance scored an own goal.
The Chargers (7-4, 4-2) will play at Southern Durham at 7 p.m. Monday.
Cleveland 4, Triton 1
The Rams (3-7-1, 1-1-0) beat the visiting Hawks (3-8-1, 0-2-0) in a Two Rivers match Wednesday night. Triton will host Smithfield-Selma at 6 p.m. Monday.
Pinecrest 5, Hoke County 0
The Patriots (10-0-2, 5-0-0) rolled to a Southeastern Conference win at Hoke County (6-7, 3-2) Wednesday night. Pinecrest will host Lumberton at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The Lady Chargers (6-6, 5-5) got their second 9-0 sweep of the week and a Big Eight win at home Wednesday. Northwood will play at Orange at 4:30 p.m. Monday.

The Lady Trojans (8-5, 8-4) won a Greater Neuse River match at Rolesville on Wednesday. Harnett Central will host East Wake at 3:30 p.m. Monday.

First-place Terry Sanford swept the Lady Yellow Jackets in a CFVC match Wednesday afternoon. Lee County (4-5, 4-4) has its last home match of the regular season versus Westover at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
