Lee County 3, Union Pines 0

Lee County scored all its goals before halftime and got a Cape Fear Valley victory at Cameron Wednesday night. The Yellow Jackets (8-5-1, 5-3-1) and Vikings (5-7-3, 2-6-1) drew in their first meeting of the season.

Emrique Lee, James Salisbury and Brandon McGahee scored a goal apiece for the Yellow Jackets. Isai Arroyo had two assists. Hunter Watson got the clean sheet in goal with three saves.

The Yellow Jackets are on a four-match winning streak having outscored opponents 18-2 in the stretch. The Jackets are 8-2-1 in their last 11 matches and have moved up into third place in the CFVC standings.

Union Pines will play at Southern Lee at 7 p.m. Monday. Terry Sanford will visit Lee County for a 7 p.m. start on Wednesday.

Jordan-Matthews 9, Reidsville 0

Jordan-Matthews (10-4-1, 4-1-1) routed visiting Reidsville for a Mid-State victory Wednesday night. The Jets will host Graham in a conference game at 6 p.m. Monday.

Western Harnett 3, Triton 1

Western Harnett scored two goals in the second half to break up a 1-1 halftime tie and win its first Two Rivers Conference match at Triton Wednesday night.

The Eagles (2-9-2, 1-3-0) will host Cleveland at 6 p.m. Monday. Triton (3-10-1, 0-4-0) will play at Corinth Holders at 6 p.m. Monday.


East Montgomery 3, North Moore 0

Following a 6-0 Mustang win over East Montgomery three weeks ago, East Montgomery (9-4-1, 4-1-1) blanked the visiting Mustangs (8-3-1, 5-2-0) for a Yadkin Valley win Wednesday night.

North Moore will host South Davidson at 6 p.m. Monday.

Chapel Hill 5, Northwood 1

Chapel Hill (14-1-1, 8-0-0) beat the visiting Chargers (7-5, 4-3) in a Big Eight match Wednesday night. Northwood will host Cardinal Gibbons at 7 p.m. Monday.

Lumberton 4, Pinecrest 2

Lumberton (10-4, 5-1) handed the Patriots (10-1-2, 5-1-0) their first loss of the season and created a first-place tie in the Southeastern Conference Wednesday night. Lumberton and Pinecrest split for the regular season.

The Patriots will host Scotland for an SEC match at 7 p.m. Monday.


Volleyball

Lee County d. Chatham Central 25-21, 25-16, 25-27, 25-17

Lee County completed a season sweep of the Lady Bears in Bear Creek on Wednesday evening. The Lady Jackets (12-3, 8-1) returned to CFVC play versus Terry Sanford last night and will host Westover at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Lady Bears (4-13, 2-9) played Union Academy last night and will play at Eastern Randolph at 6 p.m. Monday.

Carrboro d. Jordan-Matthews 25-12, 25-8, 25-17

Carrboro (12-6, 8-0) stayed perfect in the Mid-State Conference with a win over the visiting Lady Jets (3-14, 2-4) Wednesday. The Lady Jets will host Bartlett Yancey at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
