Lee County Parks and Recreation gymnastics class registration will be held May 23 and 24 from 3-6 p.m. each day at Lee County Gymnastics, located at 221 Commercial Court, Sanford.

The Lee County 12U All-Stars swept their way to the sectional championship and to a shot to play for the state championship this weekend, winning the SWAC (Statewide Athletics Commission) Central Sectional Tournament in Rocky Mount last Friday-Sunday.

The Lee County Parks and Recreation 14U Boys All-Star team had a 3-0 weekend and advanced to the state championship tournament by winning the Western Sectional Basketball Championship last weekend at the Bettie Rae Thomas Recreation Center in Charlotte. The State Championship Tournament is this weekend in Havelock.

The SASL (Sanford Area Soccer League) Storm U9 Challenge soccer team won the Charleston Battery Challenge Cup Tournament in Charleston, S.C.
