Jordan-Matthews 7, Northwood 3
Hunter Causey and Casey Golden each hit two-run homers leading Jordan-Matthews (9-4, 3-2) to its second win in three days over the Chargers (11-4, 7-0) in Siler City Monday night.
The Jets broke out to a 6-0 lead in the first two innings. Jordan-Matthews played Reidsville last night and will host Cummings for a doubleheader Friday starting at 5 p.m.
Northwood played Durham School of the Arts last night and will host South Granville Friday at 7 p.m.

Purnell Swett 15, Western Harnett 6
Purnell Swett got a season split with the Eagles (4-8, 3-3) in a non-conference game Monday night in Lillington. Western Harnett played Southern Lee last night and will play at Gray's Creek Friday at 7 p.m.

Softball
Jordan-Matthews 2, Northwood 1
The Lady Jets (5-5, 3-2) edged visiting Northwood (7-2, 5-0) Monday night in the squads' first meeting of the season.
Jordan-Matthews played Reidsville last night and will host Cummings for a doubleheader Friday at 5 p.m. Northwood played Durham School of the Arts last night and will travel to face Chapel Hill Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

Purnell Swett 7, Western Harnett 6
Western Harnett led 6-0 through two innings only for the visiting Lady Rams to come back, gaining the lead with five runs in the sixth inning.
The Lady Eagles (6-3, 4-1) played at Southern Lee last night and will play at Gray's Creek Friday at 7 p.m.

Girls soccer
Gray's Creek 5, Southern Lee 3 - OT
Gray's Creek scored twice in overtime to get a Cape Fear Valley victory at Southern Lee Monday night.
Midfielder Kelsey Carpenter scored a hat trick for the Lady Bears (6-3-1, 5-1-0).
Southern Lee (3-4, 2-2) hosted Western Harnett last night and will play at Lee County Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Northwood 4, Durham School of the Arts 1
The Lady Chargers (4-5-1, 3-3-0) won a Carolina 12 match at DSA Monday night. Northwood hosts South Granville tonight at 7 p.m.

Gray Stone Day 5, Chatham Central 0
Gray Stone Day improved to 10-0-0 in Yadkin Valley play with a shutout at Bear Creek Monday night. Chatham Central (1-7-1, 1-6-1) plays at West Montgomery tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Reidsville 2, Jordan-Matthews 1
Reidsville (8-4, 4-1) got the go-ahead goal in the 79th minute and won a Mid-State match at Jordan-Matthews (5-4, 3-2) Monday night. Cristina Cetino scored the Lady Jet goal for a 1-0 lead.
Jordan-Matthews plays at Cummings this evening at 6 p.m.

Southeast Guilford 2, Pinecrest 1
Southeast Guilford (6-4) won a non-conference match at Pinecrest (5-2-2, 4-0-0) Monday night. The Lady Patriots return to SEC play at Lumberton tonight at 7 p.m.

South Davidson 2, North Moore 1
South Davidson (2-5-2, 2-4-2) won a Yadkin Valley contest at North Moore (1-5-1, 1-5-1) Monday night. North Moore plays at Albemarle tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Eastern Alamance (7-2) built up a 12-4 halftime lead and won a non-conference match in Pittsboro Monday evening. The Chargers (2-6, 1-3) played Carrboro last night and will play at Cedar Ridge Friday at 6 p.m.
