Lady Jackets go five for conference victory
Lee County d. Gray's Creek 25-14, 19-25, 25-17, 23-25, 15-13
The Lady Yellow Jackets (9-3, 6-1) remained tied with Union Pines atop the Cape Fear Valley Conference with a win at Gray's Creek (8-5, 2-5) Thursday night. Lee County sweeps the Lady Bears for the regular season.
Lee County will host Douglas Byrd at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Union Pines d. Westover 25-6, 25-9, 25-12
The Lady Vikings (11-3, 6-1) won a CFVC match at home Thursday night. Stephanie Johnson had six aces and Alex Prots led UP with four kills. Union Pines will play at Terry Sanford at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
North Moore d. East Montgomery 17-25, 25-14, 25-14, 25-17
North Moore (6-6, 4-5) bounced back after dropping the first set for a Yadkin Valley win at East Montgomery (5-5, 5-4) Thursday. The Lady Mustangs will host Jordan-Matthews at 6 p.m. Monday.
Overhills d. South View 25-23, 25-13, 25-7
The Lady Jaguars (9-5, 5-2) got a Mid-South Athletic win against visiting South View Thursday. Katie Keen had 21 assists and six aces. GeNaisha Robinson, with 10 kills, and Maddie Stewart, with eight kills, led the Lady Jaguar hitters.
Overhills will host Pinecrest at 6 p.m. Monday.
Triton d. Western Harnett 25-13, 25-14, 25-19
Triton (8-1, 4-0) ran its winning streak to eight with a conference win over the visiting Lady Eagles (3-8, 1-3) Thursday night. Triton will play at Corinth Holders at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. Western Harnett will host Harnett Central at 5 p.m. Monday.
Southern Lee 3, Northwood 0
The Cavaliers (8-0-2) made it a 2-0-1 week with a shutout versus the visiting Charters (5-4) Thursday night. Southern Lee will play at Lee County at 7 p.m. Monday. Northwood will host Orange at 7 p.m. Monday.
North Moore 5, Scotland 1
North Moore (7-1-1, 5-0-0) completed a season sweep of the Fighting Scots (1-7) in Laurinburg Thursday night. The Mustangs return to Yadkin Valley play hosting Albemarle at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
Triton 1, Harnett Central 0
The Hawks (3-6-1) earned a season split with a win at Harnett Central (4-6-1) Thursday night. Triton will host South Johnston at 6 p.m. Monday. Harnett Central will host Rolesville at 6:30 p.m. Monday.

The Lady Patriots (6-1, 6-0) stayed atop the Southeastern with a win in Southern Pines Thursday. Pinecrest will host Scotland at 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Grace Christian at Wake Christian
Many Crusader cross country runners set season or personal bests in a meet Thursday at Wake Christian. Madison Bolen led the Lady Crusaders finishing eighth in a personal-record time of 23:45. On the boys' side, Matthew Bolen finished 13th in 21:41, taking 15 seconds off his season-best time.
Jazmine Urrutia finished 15th in 26:07. Katie Cook was 16th in 26:17 and Elisa Carver was 20th in 27:08. Those three times were personal records as were the races by Lexi Carver (28:53), Taylor Raines (30:34), Hannah Scully (30:36) and Karson Holder (33:07).
Andy Gong, an exchange student from China, set a new personal record with a time of 26:57, and Wesley Holder finished in 28:02.
Grace Christian's next meet is set for 4 p.m. Thursday at Village Christian.
