Maxx Taylor's line-drive hit into left field scored Marcos Collazo from third base with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to give Southern Lee a 2-1 victory over rival Western Harnett in a rainy semifinal game in the Chatlee Easter Invitational Friday night at Cavalier Stadium.

The Cavaliers managed seven hits on the night versus Western Harnett junior Zach Taylor, and no hits for a span of 3.2 innings, but put three singles and a walk together in the last half of the seventh.
Collazo singled to start the inning, hitting a liner which popped in and out of first baseman Alex O'Quinn's glove as he lunged away from his bag.
Taylor struck out the next two Cavaliers, giving him eight strikeouts, and the game looked set for extra innings.
Moving to the top of the Cavalier order, Ryan Holmes drove a hit-and-run single into right and Collazo reached third base.
Zach Taylor walked Christian Wenger on four pitches and Maxx Taylor nailed the second pitch he saw, driving it over the third baseman's head for a walk-off Southern Lee (14-5) win.
Maxx Taylor pitched the first five innings, allowing six hits and a run. Holmes (2-0) pitched the last two innings, allowing no hits and a walk while striking out four.
The Eagles gave their Taylor a slim lead to work with in the first inning. After there were two down and no one on, Zachary Cockman's single led to a stolen base, Cockman reaching third on a wild pitch, then scoring on a wild pitch on Maxx Taylor's ball four to Chris Patton.
The Cavaliers nearly got the run straight back. Wenger doubled with one out and reached third, but was then thrown out at the plate as left fielder Trevor Williams turned a medium-deep fly into a double play ending the Southern Lee first.
The Cavs got the tying run a couple of frames later. Holmes singled, then moved around the paths with a stolen base and a wild pitch. Wenger delivered an RBI single.
After the Eagle first, only two Eagle runners reached second base or better the rest of the way versus Maxx Taylor or Holmes.
Cockman and Jadyn Hurr both went 2 for 3 for the Eagles.
For the Cavs, Holmes went 2 for 3 with a walk in the leadoff spot followed by Wenger going 2 for 3 with a walk and Maxx Taylor going 2 for 4.
Western Harnett (6-10) plays the loser of Union Pines vs. West Stokes in the third-place game at 4 p.m. Saturday at Southern Lee. The Cavaliers will play the winner of the other semifinal at 7 p.m.
