Youth baseball, softball seasons approaching

Lee County Parks and Recreation is holding registration for its youth baseball and softball leagues now through Feb. 21 at the Parks and Recreation Office, 2303 Tramway Road in Sanford.
The leagues are for boys ages 7-14 and girls ages 8-14. The registration fee is $35 for county residents and $50 for out-of-county residents. For more information, please call (919) 775-2107 ext. 502. New players are required to bring a copy of their birth certificate.

 

Junior team tennis
Lee County Parks and Recreation is taking registration for its spring Junior Team Tennis League now through March 20.
The league is for boys and girls ages 5-12. The registration fee is $10 for county residents and $25 for out-of-county residents.

Gymnastics sign-ups
Lee County Parks and Recreation will hold registration for its spring gymnastics programs from 3-6 p.m. Feb. 27-28 at Lee County Gymnastics, located at 221 Commercial Court in Sanford.
There are classes for ages toddler and up. Class sizes are limited. Please call (919) 774-6445 for more information.


Tough Day golf tournament
Sanford Municipal Golf Course will host its annual 2-Man Superball Tough Day Tournament on Feb. 1 with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. All players will play the blue tees and will be flighted. Skins will be included in the cost of the event.
The tournament is open to all players. The cost is $45 for SMGA members and $55 for non-members. Please sign up before Jan. 30.

 

Adult softball sign-ups
Lee County Parks and Recreation's adult softball season is coming up and registration will be held Feb. 17-21 from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. each day at the Parks and Recreation Office, 2303 Tramway Road.
