Has Congress lost its moral compass?
To the Editor:
Time is a commodity that, once used, cannot be recovered.
Tragically, in America, many believe that our country, as well as Congress, has lost its moral compass in time. It appears that Congress can vote themselves a 3 percent pay increase, while their fellow Americans suffer through higher taxes, unemployment and global warming disasters such as Hurricane Sandy. Unemployment and the economy will continue their downward plunge as our unchecked national debt will increase by more than $4 trillion with the newly enacted budget by a cynical Congress noted for its short, three-day work weeks!
