ALICE ELIZABETH FAIRCLOTH 

CLINTON — Alice Elizabeth “Miss” Faircloth, 99, of 6251 Bonnetsville Road, died Monday (1/21/13) at her home.

Funeral service will be held today at 3 p.m. at White Oak Baptist Church with the Rev. Stephen Porter officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall and other times at her home, 6251 Bonnetsville Road, Clinton. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

She was born in Clinton on September 27, 1913 to Troy Lallister and Callie Page Faircloth. She was a long time member of White Oak Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Troy Lallister and Callie Page Faircloth; four sisters and four brothers.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and several great-great-nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to White Oak Memorial Fund, 310 White Oak Church Road, Clinton, N.C. 28328.

JOE HOLLIS FREEMAN

GOLDSTON — Joe Hollis Freeman, 69, of Church St., died Tuesday (1/22/13) at his residence.

He was born in Barrow County, Ga. on June 8, 1943, the son of Willie (Buster) H. and Lattrell (Polly) (Smith) Freeman. He was a Baptist by faith and a retired machine operator with Tracor Aerospace. After retirement, he worked for The Sanford Herald. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Vanetta F. Johnson.

He is survived by one daughter, Stephanie F. Arnold and husband Jeff of Max Meadows, Va.; three sons, Joe (Joey) H. Freeman II and wife Tara of Fayetteville; William "Will" Freeman and wife Jodie of Buies Creek; and Brian Freeman and wife Ashley of Mays Landing, N.J.; one sister, Vickie F. Millenbaugh and husband Don of Goldston; one brother, Barry Eugene Freeman and fiancee' Denise Jackson of Sanford; nine grandchildren and one step-great-granddaughter.

The family will receive friends today from 6 until 8 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home in Siler City. The funeral will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Hicks officiating. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Park, Siler City.
