Thank you to Kirk Smith for his excellent editorial regarding Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) as it is currently being promoted across academia and organizations. I agree with him.
I remember when the words used to mean the opposite of what they have been redefined to mean by today's Marxists. Equity used to mean equal opportunity instead of enforced equal outcomes. Many remember their benevolent meanings and are fooled into supporting transforming America into a Marxist society.
I believe that discriminating against anyone because of a group identity they might be labeled by is morally wrong. I completely promote equal opportunity and diversity of thought. I will not support organizations that implement DEI as currently being promoted. This includes implementing policies that discriminate based on race or biological sex, or implementing DEI commissars to enforce such ideological purity. Several organizations have lost my financial support due to their implementing DEI policies and departments.
