LILLINGTON — Additional charges have been filed against a former Cape Fear Christian Academy employee accused of engaging in sexual activity with a student.
Tammy Tyner Moran, 45, of Cottle Lake Drive in Coats, was charged Monday with an additional count of sexual activity with a student and embezzlement, according to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office.
The sexual activity offense was filed after a second student came forward and claimed abuse by Moran, a Sheriff’s Office release said. The alleged offense happened between Feb. 19-23, 2020, warrants said.
She also is accused of using a school-issued credit card for personal purchases, according to arrest warrants.
Moran initially was charged March 19 with three counts of sexual activity by a substitute parent. Digital evidence of alleged sexual contact with a minor was found by investigators, resulting in the offense.
