A rain date has been set for the Community Resource Event which is scheduled Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at the M.T. Burch Center.

In the event of inclement weather, it will be held June 17, according to Pam Glover, chairwoman of the Lee County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council.

The event will provide information on available resources for the community’s youth, according to Glover.

Several organizations are slated to be on hand and area businesses are helping with donations. Among them is Wilson, Reives & Silverman Law Office, which is providing water for the event. The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is providing ice to keep the water cool, Glover said.

The M.T. Burch Center is at 1122 Boykin Ave.
