SANFORD — Brandon Lavon Norris, 43, departed this life suddenly Wednesday (06/02/21) at his home.

Brandon, son of Evander McLean and Pearl Adams Norris, was born Dec. 14, 1977, in Sanford. Known as “Von” and “Vito,” he attended Lee County Schools and Central Carolina Community College. He was employed at Dorman Technologies.

His hobbies included cooking on the grill, preparing home-cooked meals, singing and dancing to old music, fishing with friends, and attending/hosting social gatherings. Everyone enjoyed his company and meaningful presence in their lives.

Von was a great father to his two sons Brandon and Markell. He devoted his life to ensure that his boys were well taken care of.

He leaves to cherish his memories: sons Brandon Lavon Norris II and Markell Isaiah Norris of Sanford; grandmother, Mae Evelyn McLean of Sanford; siblings Charles Edward Adams of Sanford, Mark L. (Dawn) Norris of Houston, Texas, and Rashida Renee Reives of Greensboro; one special godbrother, Willie Hooker of Sanford; maternal aunt/uncle, Irene Ray of Carthage, and Anthony Edwards of Sanford; paternal aunts/uncles, Frances Clark, Dennis McLean, Denece Dunbar, and Diane Baker, all of Sanford; special goddaughter, Katlin Palmer of Charlotte; a host of nieces, nephews and very special close friends, Teonj Adams (nephew), Randy Bush, Tamora Tollerson, Jason Bush, Lajuane Palmer, Eddie Griffin, and Richard Bush.

Flowers are accepted at Knotts Funeral Home, 719 Wall St., Sanford, through Saturday. Viewing is 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. A graveside service is 3 p.m. Saturday at Family Stone Cemetery, 814 Bryant Road, Cameron.
