PHILADELPHIA, Penn. — Norman C. Farror, 81, of 1640 North 57th St., Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, died Feb. 5 at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, following a brief illness.

He was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Durham. Norman graduated from Hillside High School in Durham and served in the U.S. Army.

He worked and retired from the public schools in Philadelphia for 45 years, his hobby was always reading. Norman was a kind hearted person.

Surviving are his wife Mrs. Maggie Johnson Farror of the home; one daughter, Norma Jackson of Georgetown, Texas; five sons, Scottie Johnson of Durham, Jeffrey Franklin of Hillside, Virginia, Norman Farror Jr. of Atlanta, Georgia, Rodney Farror of Baltimore, Maryland, Ricardo Farror of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; four sisters-in-law, Dorothy Tate of Brooklyn, New York, Josette Mack of Chapel Hill, Sarah Farror of Sanford, Mary Farror of Durham; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one brother-in-law, Robert Berryman of Sanford.

The graveside service is 1 p.m. Friday at Lee Memory Gardens with the Rev. Iris Jordan presiding. The service will be livestreamed on the Bostic-Kendrick Funeral Home Facebook page.
