Football Union Pines 10, Harnett Central 6

The Vikings (2-1, 1-0) held onto the lead the whole way after a 52-yard touchdown pass from Micah Monaghan to Ethan Biggs in the first quarter, getting a Tri-County 6 win at Wilhoit Stadium Friday night.

Harnett Central (0-3, 0-1) scored on QB De’Andre McAllister’s 2-yard TD run making it 7-6 Vikings in the second quarter.

Sean Blatz kicked a 31-yard field goal in the third quarter.

Union Pines got four sacks, three fumble recoveries and an interception by Dakota Spangler.

Monaghan passed for 148 yards with Biggs making three catches for 76 yards and Ahmad Jones making seven catches for 69 yards.

Union Pines will host Lee County at 6:30 p.m. Friday. Harnett Central will host Western Harnett at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

North Moore 50, South Stanly 0

The Mustangs romped to a shutout win on Homecoming Night in Robbins Friday night.

North Moore (1-2, 1-2) led 23-0 at halftime.

South Stanly beat North Moore 42-13 in 2019.

The Mustangs’ last win against the Rowdy Rebel Bulls was in 2016.

North Moore will play at Spring Creek March 26.

Pinecrest 30, Purnell Swett 6

The Patriots (2-1, 2-1) won a SAC game in Pembroke Friday night. Pinecrest led 12-0 by early in the second quarter and led 20-6 at halftime.

Savion Kiser and Xavier Down had TD runs. Brodie Karres connected with Niquwan Hill for a 56-yard TD pass.

The Patriot defense forced three Ram turnovers and allowed 61 rushing yards.

Pinecrest will play at Lumberton at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

Randleman 56, Jordan-Matthews 6

The Tigers beat the Jets (0-3, 0-3) in a PAC 7 game Friday night. Jordan-Matthews will play at Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Girls soccer Lee Christian 10, Community Christian 1

Sophomore classmates Emma McNeill, with six goals, and Emma Grace Dubuc, with four goals led a Lady Falcon victory at Mid-Carolina Conference foe Community Christian Friday afternoon.

Lee Christian (2-1, 1-0) led 5-1 at halftime.

Keeper Zoey Hodges made five saves for the Lady Falcons.

Lee Christian plays at Grace Christian at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

Trinit Academy 2, O’Neal 1

Trinity Academy defeated the Lady Falcons (2-2, 0-2) in Triangle-Triad Athletic play Friday afternoon in Raleigh.

O’Neal hosts Fayetteville Academy at 4 p.m. today.

Baseball Trinity Academy 15, O’Neal 10

The Tigers topped the Falcons (3-1, 1-1) in a TTAC game in Raleigh Friday. O’Neal hosts Fayetteville Academy at 3:30 p.m. today.

Grace Christian 7, New Life Camp 3

The Crusaders jumped on top 4-0 with four runs in the second and went on to a win at home Friday.

Caleb Franklin went 2 for 4 with a double, a run and an RBI.

Griffin Matthews scored two runs and had one RBI for the Crusaders.
